What size tank should I install?
This will depend on several factors. What the water will be used for, available space to install tank, down pipe position
How long will the harvested water last?
Depending on the frequency of use and how much water there is. We will give you a figure of an estimated day use.
What can my Harvested Water be used for?
There are many uses for Harvested Water, such as. Connection to toilet/ laundry, irrigation for gardens, hosing and sprinklers, filling pools and spas, washing car.
Where should the water tank be installed?
Depending on many factors, Water Harvesting Systems will give expert advice.
What maintenance does my tank need?
Above and below tanks need maintenance. Below ground tanks will need to be inspected every 10 years. Above ground tanks are easier to maintain but still need some looking after. Water Harvesting Systems can organise a maintenance schedule to look after your on going needs. Gutter guard and keeping trees away from spouting will also help keep matter out of your tanks. Water Harvesting Systems will advise on the best ways to help here. Water Harvesting Systems will discuss this at completion of your job.
How is the water filtered before it gets to the tank?
Water Harvesting Systems has designed a trap bucket that is installed before an in ground tank that filters most debris. Above ground tanks will have a mess that will stop most debris from getting in your tank. There are many other after market products that could be added to your installation. Water Harvesting Systems will advise on the most suitable of these at consultation stage.
