COMMERCIAL APPLICATIONS
Industrial and Commercial water harvesting solutions potential include manufacturers, retail traders and office buildings & factories.
Together the commercial and industrial sector represent approximately 10% of total mains water use about 20 GL per year. This water is drinking water quality standards and in some cases could be substituted with recycled or storm water.
Capture and usage of storm water contribute towards Green Building council accreditations, water harvesting provides landlords and occupiers with a green management solution towards water consumption , effectively providing greater business opportunities via promotion of environmental management solutions.
With massive Water Harvesting catchment potential areas, commercial and Industrial premises are in the envious position to be able to catch and store huge amounts of harvestered water.

Irrigation
A non-residential building's garden water use is likely to vary greatly, depending on the area of irrigated gardens. For example, a hotel resort or public building with large irrigated lawns is likely to have a higher garden water requirement than a city office block. There is little information on the amount of water used on gardens in a commercial building, although a study undertaken by Sydney Water indicates that garden water use is as low as 1% of the total building water use for a typical commercial building (DEH, 2006b).
